Made it through the first 4 days without too much difficulty. I am not really noticing any significant changes so far. No sort of ‘detox’ flu some people talk about. But I don’t find that too surprising. We ate pretty well before and I only drank coffee because I liked to have an after lunch cappuccino so no caffeine withdrawals to manage.
On the flip side I have not noticed too much on the positive side either. Still occasionally dealing with the bloated feeling, but the positive has been that mornings are getting a bit easier. I still hate my alarm when it goes off, as I assume everyone does (are there people that don’t. I don’t think I want to talk to them), but getting out of bed hasn’t been the huge struggle it was for the past two months. Motivation for cooking and exercising has come back too…so more energy less general malaise I guess, which is really awesome.
I am also finding that it really isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I am eating lots of tasty food so I am rarely hungry. Everything is good…as long as you have food prepared because god forbid you get hungry while out in the city or hiking and you don’t have food with you. You are not likely to find many allowed options. I am sure they exist, but it would be difficult.
And. I miss tomatoes and cheese.
It is mid-August and I am not eating farmers market tomatoes. sniff. or corn.
